Hello Leask Classmates and Teachers from 1969-70-71

Just before covid disrupted all our worlds some of the 1970 class were discussing having a reunion.

Needless to say that idea was derailed until just before Christmas 2023 when a few people revived the idea. We soon decided to expand and include folks from 1969 and 1971 as well as 1970.

Greetings from the Reunion organizers. 

We are making pretty good headway getting in touch with people and are very happy that so many people are confirming they will attend.

Our starting point for inviting people were the people in Grade 12 in 1969, 1970 and 1971. Then we started thinking of people to invite that were in that age group but who may have moved away or gotten into the work force early.

We have booked the Legion Hall and a caterer.

Here is the plan so far:

Date - June 22, 2024

Location - Leask

We will start by having people check in at the Legion Hall about 1 pm. We will have coffee and other refreshments at the Hall.

Lorraine Benson (Bittner) and Karen Campbell (Barber) are planning various activities for people to participate in if they wish. But, let's be realistic, the most important reason for coming is to visit and catch-up with people we may not have seen since we walked out the doors of Leask High School for the last time so everybody is free to do as they desire.

We plan to have supper about 5-5:30 in the Hall.

We aren't getting a liquor licence but it is ok if people want to BYOB.

Cost of meal, hall rental, refreshments, sundries will be $40 per person. 

We would like confirmation of attendance and payment by May 22nd, 2024.

Account is set up for automatic deposit so you don't need to create a password and question.

Murray is leaving on a vacation in 8 days and will be gone until April 8th but will have sporadic online access. Karen and Lorraine will be available and can answer any questions you may have.
