Bio: Lawrence Robin

 Family: 

Married Lorraine Osborne of Rocky Mtn House Alberta in Aug. 1973. 

Son Kelly born Oct 74, wife Joanne, daughter Katrina 16, Riley 14, all live in Fort McMurray.  

Son Kris born 77 wife Jamie,  daughter Carly 19, Tyler 16 all live in Calgary.  


Work history:  Worked Alberta oil patch for a time. Moved to the Elk Valley coal mines fall of 72 live there to present. 

Employed on various mine sites until retiring in 2010. Over the many years was an equipment operator, cleaning plant opp. Journeyman welder, and shift supervision.  Captain of mine rescue team and served on sparwood district fire fighting squad for 10 yrs. 

Pastime and hobbies: hunting, fishing, guiding, softball. 

Travel:  Jamaica, Hawaii, Alaska Yukon, Las Vegas several times.

Hello Leask Classmates and Teachers from 1969-70-71

Just before covid disrupted all our worlds some of the 1970 class were discussing having a reunion. Needless to say that idea was derailed until just before Christmas 2023 when a few people revived the idea. We soon decided to expand and include folks from 1969 and 1971 as well as 1970. Greetings from the Reunion organizers.  We are making pretty good headway getting in touch with people and are very happy that so many people are confirming they will attend. Our starting point for inviting people were the people in Grade 12 in 1969, 1970 and 1971. Then we started thinking of people to invite that were in that age group but who may have moved away or gotten into the work force early. We have booked the Legion Hall and a caterer.
