See you tomorrow!!

We can hardly wait to see everybody tomorrow!!  We will be setting up the hall in the morning. The school will be open for tours from 1 to 3. We will have some limited Leask High School merch (as the kids call it now) available for purchase. We will have coffee, water, etc and snacks at the hall. We will be taking photos of everybody to put on the blog .... many of the people that couldn't come have expressed how much they would appreciate seeing pics of everybody. Lorraine has brought a karaoke machine....I (Murray) promise not to sing. Last reminder that is you are bringing any alcohol into the Hall it must have been purchased in SK and you have to have your receipt for the purchase. That's all I can think of right now...it's going to be great!

Hotel, Motel, Campground Accommodation

Camping: Karen has spoken to the Village about camping and the village has offered us the opportunity to camp in the Sports Grounds. They will mow the area few days ahead of time and ask only that we leave it as clean as we found it and no grey water is released onto the ground. If you would like to camp on the Sportsgrounds, please let Karen know so she can provide the town with an idea of how many will be using the area.  Karen - (306) 466-9123‬  karenbarbercampbell@yahoo.ca Shellbrook KInsmen Campground 306-747-2597    Website:  https://townofshellbrook.ca/p/shellbrook-kinsmen-campground Botchy's Campground (on the road to Emerald Lake) 306-466-2324    Website:  https://www.botchys.ca Emerald Lake Regional Park 306-466-2089    Website:  https://emeraldlake.org Memorial Lake Regional Park (Shell Lake) 306-427-2272    Website:  https://memoriallakeregionalpark.com Martin's Lake Regional Park 306-4...

Hello Leask Classmates and Teachers from 1969-70-71

Just before covid disrupted all our worlds some of the 1970 class were discussing having a reunion. Needless to say that idea was derailed until just before Christmas 2023 when a few people revived the idea. We soon decided to expand and include folks from 1969 and 1971 as well as 1970. Greetings from the Reunion organizers.  We are making pretty good headway getting in touch with people and are very happy that so many people are confirming they will attend. Our starting point for inviting people were the people in Grade 12 in 1969, 1970 and 1971. Then we started thinking of people to invite that were in that age group but who may have moved away or gotten into the work force early. We have booked the Legion Hall and a caterer. Here is the plan so far: Date - June 22, 2024 Location - Leask We will start by having people check in at the Legion Hall about 1 pm. We will have coffee and other refreshments at the Hall. Lorraine Benson (Bittner) and Karen Campbell (Barber) are planning v...
